Meet Dr. Naila Gamel
Dr. Naila Gamel DACM, L.Ac., is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, with a deep-rooted curiosity about the human body and the nature of healing. Originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, her early interest in how the body functions naturally expanded into a broader exploration of consciousness and the unseen aspects of health- shaping her holistic perspective today.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in General Biology from East Carolina University in 2020, building a strong foundation in the sciences. Feeling called toward a more integrative path, Dr. Naila followed that pull to Southern California, where she continued her studies in holistic medicine. She graduated from Pacific College of Health and Science in 2025 with her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Naila’s approach bridges ancient wisdom with modern understanding, making traditional practices both accessible and relevant. Her work is grounded in evidence-informed care while remaining open to the intuitive aspects of healing.
Her treatments are highly individualized and may include acupuncture, cosmetic treatments, auricular and scalp acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, herbal medicine, electrical stimulation, manual therapy, and gua sha. Each session is designed to meet patients where they are, supporting the body’s natural ability to regulate, restore, and return to a state of wholeness.
At the heart of her practice is a simple intention to help people reconnect with their bodies and develop a clearer awareness of what balance feels like for them, in a world where disconnection has become so common.

Philosophy of Care
At Lucid Acupuncture & Holistic Wellness, healing is approached through the understanding that all manifestations of health begin beyond the physical body. Light, sound, and vibration are the fundamental building blocks of matter, and every experience we have first takes shape within the energetic realm before expressing itself physically.
Dr. Naila works from this awareness in every treatment she provides. Her level of intentionality is rooted not only in her clinical training, but in a lifetime of experiences that have revealed a simple truth: how we do something is often just as important as what we do.
While the actions we take may change from moment to moment, the quality of presence, awareness, and intention we bring to those actions creates the foundation upon which our lives are built. The habits we cultivate, the patterns we repeat, and the energy we bring to our daily choices all contribute to our experience of health and well-being. From this perspective, periods of illness and imbalance are not merely obstacles to overcome, but invitations to examine whether we are living in alignment with our deepest nature and purpose.
Drawing from the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a variety of complementary healing modalities, Dr. Naila tailors each treatment to the unique needs of the individual. Acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, and lifestyle guidance are not viewed as separate interventions, but as different pathways toward the same outcome: greater lucidity.
Lucidity does not necessarily equate to having more energy, achieving more, or becoming more of something. Often, lucidity arises through the removal of what obscures us—the heaviness, noise, stress, and patterns that cloud our connection to ourselves. At other times, it emerges through the introduction of something new: an experience, perspective, or shift that reaches us in a way our everyday routines have not.
Dr. Naila believes that clarity and vitality are intimately connected. The more lucid we become, the more deeply connected we are to our own consciousness, and the more intentionally we can direct our energy toward what nourishes life rather than what diminishes it.
Lucid exists to support this process—to create a space where healing becomes an opportunity for greater awareness, deeper alignment, and a more vibrant expression of who you truly are.
